Arrowhead race draws kudos

Once again, unseasonably cool weather greeted riders for a March race at Lake Tobesofkee's Arrowhead Park.
More than 200 racers showed up for the first event of the Georgia State Championship Series. While much of Georgia received inches of rain over the weekend, Arrowhead dodged the storms and trail conditions were perfect. Racers raved about the trail and the enthusiasm shown by course marshals.
The Ocmulgee Mountain Bike Association would like to thank those who made the trip to Macon. Also, kudos to Bruce Dickman for keeping the crowd informed and entertained all day long.
We'd like to say thank you to the Bike Store, Bike Tech and the Southern Off Road Bicycle Association for providing prizes for the race.
The biggest thank you goes out to all of the volunteers -- those who worked on the trail, acted as course marshals, stuffed prize bags, helped with parking, cleaned up after the race, and much more. Without all of your hard work, the race wouldn't have happened.
